Hiking Mauniwili Falls on Oahu

Maunawili falls has the highest waterfall cliff jump on island. It's up for debate how high it actually is but you're looking down with a 20 foot waterfall well below you and dropping into a small pool. What makes it scarier is that there's a wet slope down to the very small ledge which is easy to slip off and fall. This is why people get hurt- broken bones, internal bleeding, helicopter evac. But it's an exhilarating bucket list item that some people just have to do. Even if you aren't in for the big jump, it's a beautiful pool that offers smaller jumps and excellent photo opps. Additional problems with this hike is that the main trail is still closed and the alternative legal route has no parking, requiring an Uber drop-off. If you find a way around these challenges make sure to climb the hill to the left of the waterfall and you'll be rewarded with a random old metal bridge suspended against the ridge which provides a unique experience. Once a heavily trafficked trail, now a hidden treasure on Oahu.

I’ve attached some photos but you gotta see the videos of the jumps! Click here to check it out.
