Hiking Mount Ka’ala- Oahu’s Highest Peak

There are many high peaks on Oahu but there can only be one highest peak and that's Mount Ka'ala. ⛰️😤 This epic adventure is off the beaten path in Waianae and only lightly trafficked. Ka'ala offers an extremely interesting journey with many terrain and ecosystem shifts. From a paved road to coffee forest, macadamia nut forest, strawberry guava forest, up a ridgeline with rope sections and light bouldering. You might even find fresh blackberries near the top! For your effort, on a clear day you may be rewarded with magnificent views of the west side, the north shore, and honolulu. It takes luck though as the peak attracts clouds and some expeditions fail to receive a clear viewing. The first time I made the summit was an iconic experience for me. It was the peak of my life at that moment. ✨️🙏🏽 Truly an unforgettable experience. One of the island's hidden gems, Mount Ka'ala sits right in my backyard, I've done it over a dozen times, and I'd be happy to take you. 🤙🏽
